It's been a long week. Between investigations, TIME Magazine's pandering, and the Starbucks fecal fest, it's time to have a change of pace. Enter this lass. She's a National Guard member who was recently fired for bringing dishonor to the military community. She disrespected an oath ceremony. How, you ask?

The US Air Force is making it clear that dinosaur puppets have no place in its “time-honored” military traditions — levying tough punishments against three members of the Tennessee Air National Guard involved in a viral video depicting a reenlistment ceremony.
All three of the individuals involved in the viral video — which showed a female non-commissioned officer taking the reenlistment oath with a dinosaur puppet on her right hand — were removed from their posts, according to an announcement posted on Facebook on Wednesday by Maj Gen. Terry M. Haston, the adjutant general for the Tennessee Guard.
One thing is perfectly clear here. The National Guard is not the place for dinosaurs. They are no fans of the hulking reptiles.
The cat is the military. The dinosaur is itself.
As valuable as a batallion of trained velociraptors would be to our military, methinks the playful dino-hand-puppetry was a tad out of line. Especially considering the gravity of the sacrosanct oath. A bit of advice. If there's a next time, she might consider limiting the dino-puppets to playtime with the kiddos, as opposed to bringing them along on official military business.
Despite the ill-timed nature of the joke, these punishments seem to be a bit harsh. I do have to commend this hero for delivering us some chuckles, be it at the cost of her job.
