One Congresswoman with brand recognition that would rival most large retail companies is considering taking a step up the political ladder.

That is, depending on who decides to step on that ladder first.

A die-hard Trump loyalist with deep MAGA roots, Georgia’s Margorie Taylor Greene has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2021.

Barely 5’3″, MTG packs an explosive punch — and she tends to be squarely in the middle of all the big political issues on any given day.

Whether it’s on a stage during a heated campaign, grilling Democrats during hearings in the House, or on social media… Margorie Taylor Greene is not one to shy away from a fight.

President Trump once touted her courage and convictions during a rally during the last campaign cycle, saying she “ends up always being right”:

While she has said on more than one occasion that a step up to a higher elected office could be in the cards, there seems to be something a little more tangible to the current reports along those lines.

There is a U.S. Senate seat representing Georgia currently occupied by a democrat coming in to play next year.

And those closest to her are allegedly whispering that MGT is seriously gearing up to make a run to dethrone Jon Ossoff, who won the seat in the 2020 election.

The Daily Caller is reporting sources close to MTG confirm that her aspirations for taking the Senate seat from Ossoff is getting more serious.

Besides the fact that Ossoff is the only Democrat in the Senate running for reelection next year in a state that President Trump won during the last election…

There is also the fact that Greene is undoubtedly backed by President Trump, according to reporting from the Daily Caller on the issue:

Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is seriously considering a run for Senate in 2026, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Greene, one of President Donald Trump’s most loyal allies in Congress, is actively surveying whether to get in the race if Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp were to pass on a run. Though Kemp is expected to clear the field if he decides to enter the race, one source who requested anonymity to discuss the congresswoman’s thinking told the Daily Caller News Foundation that Greene believes she would “crush” the GOP primary contest if the governor were to pass on the contest.

Greene’s potential candidacy for incumbent Democratic Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff’s seat would put the conservative congresswoman at the center of one of the most closely watched races of 2026. Republicans are laser-focused on defeating Ossoff, whose narrow victory over former Republican Georgia Sen. David Perdue in a January 2021 runoff election was partly responsible for costing Senate Republicans their majority during the 2020 cycle.

Ossoff is the only Senate Democrat running for reelection in a state that Trump won last November.

Though Kemp is viewed as the party’s top recruit to defeat Ossoff — reflected by recent polling — the Republican primary is “frozen” until the term-limited governor makes a decision about whether to enter the race, a source familiar with the primary contest told the DCNF. Another source who requested anonymity to discuss both potential candidates’ bids said Kemp is likely to indicate whether he is running by Memorial Day.

Greene would also have the added advantage of being close with Trump who could go to battle on her behalf in a contested primary.

The president notably urged Greene to run for Senate during a campaign rally in April 2023, telling the crowd that he would “fight like hell” for her.
There is only one political calculation that could reportedly push MTG to opt out of that race, and potentially opt IN to the Governor’s race, instead.

And that is whether or not the current Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp, will choose to enter the Senate race to unseat Ossoff himself.

From watching MTG’s increase in frustration coming through her social media lately (and that’s really saying something!) it seems obvious that she is chomping at the bit to step into a bigger role, and the potential to affect larger changes than her House seat generally affords.

Check out this FIERY RANT from just a few hours ago, completely eviscerating Congress as a whole — and the Republican leadership within it — for a shoddy job compared to Democrats at the start of Biden’s administration:

Congress is not doing its job and to deliver the People’s mandate.

By Joe Biden’s 100 days, Congress had delivered 11 bills to Biden’s desk including their reconciliation package the American “Rescue” Plan spending $1.9 trillion dollars on Covid insanity, Trans and DEI, and open…

Here’s the full text of that post from this morning.

And I have to say, she nails what most Trump-supporters are thinking right now:

Congress is not doing its job and to deliver the People’s mandate.

By Joe Biden’s 100 days, Congress had delivered 11 bills to Biden’s desk including their reconciliation package the American “Rescue” Plan spending $1.9 trillion dollars on Covid insanity, Trans and DEI, and open border policies to fund the invasion of America.

Nancy Pelosi was a machine.

And Democrats didn’t have 60 votes in the Senate, but they got it done.

President Trump hits 100 days on April 30th and we have only sent 5 bills to his desk: Laken Riley Act, 3 joint resolutions blocking Biden agency rules, and a full Biden/Democrat government funding CR that I should have never been required to vote for, but only did it because President Trump asked me to in order to avoid a gov shutdown.

But he had no other option to get behind either because Congress gave him none.

The Republican controlled House should be passing Trump’s executive orders every week.

Weekly, we should be passing rescissions with ease cutting Biden era spending, policies and fraud that DOGE has uncovered, as these only require 51 votes in the Senate not 60.

And we should finish the reconciliation package asap that will pass the most critical funding legislation we are able to accomplish of Energy, Border, and Tax legislation as it only requires 51 votes in the Senate as well.

I’ve been silent and hopeful that our Republican controlled House and Senate understood the historic mandate and responsibility that the people demanded in November, and would finally be convinced that America did not vote for standard Republican Party policies, America voted for TRUMP AMERICA FIRST MAGA POLICIES, and Congress MUST deliver.

I ran for Congress in 2020 after being infuriated from watching Republicans in Congress undermine President Trump’s agenda and disgusted at Republicans in Washington refusing to defend our President from the Democrat’s silent civil war and coup against OUR President.

I will not willingly go along with another Republican Congress that doesn’t understand the moment we are in and courageously seize it.

We are facing a Democrat judicial coup unconstitutionally abusing the power of the courts to stop the will of the American people and defend and protect terrorists, cartel gang members, and illegal aliens who have broken our immigration laws, and now a ruling to continue election fraud by stopping President Trump’s executive order to require ID to prove citizenship in order to vote.

The Democrat Party is now openly the party of criminals, terrorists, MS-13, mentally ill trans, and big government control and crippling debt.

My patience is wearing thin and the people are sick of it.

We have a job to do, we better get together and do it or we will lose in ‘26.
If that red hot monologue can’t suffice for a CAMPAIGN SPEECH… then I don’t have a clue what a campaign speech is supposed to look like.

Because that’s exactly what Trump-supporting Republicans are dying to see happen right now.

As I said, this isn’t a new topic for MTG.

Back in February she was asked about running for either a U.S. Senate seat, or Georgia Governor slot in 2026, and here was her admittedly honest answer:

The race for that seat representing Georgia in the Senate will be hotly contested.

Republicans will be attempting to maintain — and possibly grow — their slight majority in the Senate, according to a Fox News report published at the same time she made those comments back in February:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, one of the most visibile and combustible members of Congress and a top supporter of President Donald Trump in the House, says she is not closing any doors when it comes to a run for the Senate or governor in her home state next year.

“Of course, I’m considering all possibilities. No decisions have been made, but I would be telling a lie if I didn’t say I wasn’t considering it,” Greene said when asked during an interview Thursday evening with the Atlanta Journal Constitution about a possible Senate bid in 2026.

Greene, who is now in her third term representing the heavily red northwest corner of the key southeastern battleground state, added that a bid for Georgia governor was also on the table.

The congresswoman, thanks to her regular in-your-face social media attacks on the left as well as some well-documented infighting with fellow Republicans in the House, has vastly expanded her national profile over the past couple of years.

The Senate race in Georgia, where Democrat Sen. Jon Ossoff is facing re-election in 2026, will likely be one of the most competitive, divisive and expensive showdowns of the cycle, as the GOP tries to hold and possibly expand its current 53-47 majority in the chamber.
As President Trump said in the first video I referenced, MTG constantly seems to come up on the right side of things.

Like her or not, she has her finger on the pulse of the Republican MAGA base. And those instincts for choosing the right battle has consistently put her at the forefront of almost every major policy issue.

Case in point, she has been one of the most vocal Republicans regarding what she calls a ‘judicial coup’ — what I would call ROGUE JUDGES rising up to usurp the legitimate authority of the Executive Branch:

We have a judicial coup happening in this country with rogue judges protecting criminal illegal aliens and cartel members instead of defending the sovereignty of America and upholding our constitution.

Congress has the ability to stop this with impeachment and other measures.…

Here’s the full text of that post for easier viewing:

Failure to take action is allowing the judicial coup to continue and infuriating Americans who voted for President Trump!
The big question is whether or not Georgia’s current Governor, Brian Kemp, with jump into the Senate race when his current term runs out, and he is no longer eligible for the Governorship.

Remember — though Kemp has recently enjoyed an apparent repair of his relationship with President Trump… it was not always so.

Kemp was one of the key Republicans who openly challenged the President’s assertions that Georgia election fraud played a pivotal role in the stolen campaign of 2020.

But according to Greene, if Kemp decides to go after the Senate seat, she would opt out.

But then comes the question of the Georgia Governor’s office, as Newsweek reported as far back as 2 months ago:

Brian Kemp, Georgia’s current governor, has previously clashed with Greene despite both of them being Republicans, namely over their beliefs about the 2020 presidential election. Kemp broke with President Donald Trump and his allies, including Greene, by insisting that Georgia’s elections were secure and refuted claims that election fraud led to Trump’s election loss in the 2020 race.

If Greene becomes governor of Georgia, which has become a crucial battleground state in recent years, it could signal another win for Trump.

Meanwhile, the Republicans will be hoping to re-take the seat occupied by Ossoff, after losing it in 2021, costing them their majority.

When Greene was asked whether she plans to challenge Ossoff for his seat in the Senate, she said: “Of course I’m considering all possibilities. No decisions have been made, but I would be telling a lie if I didn’t say I wasn’t considering it.”

She then added that she wouldn’t rule out a run for governor.
With President Trump’s blessing, it’s hard to imagine that the spitfire Congresswoman who also has a strong backing from the MAGA movement would be anything other than a serious contender in either race.

Still, her sharp political savvy in weighing her options against the decision of Gov. Kemp just goes to show how smart she’s playing things.

She may be fairly new to the arena, but from every angle she certainly doesn’t seem like she has reached the pinnacle of her political clout just yet.

In fact, she may be just barely getting started.
