The Parental Rights in Education law that prohibited gender identity and sexual orientation from being taught to kindergarteners through third grade in Florida has caused a wave of backlash from liberals. Deeming it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, the left continuously criticized the bill and even suggested that the Walt Disney Company take a stand due to them have a significant stake in Florida. Still, as the left attacks the bill, one liberal teacher is now claiming that children are “dying” due to the decisions of Governor Ron DeSantis.
Having already been highlighted on the “Libs of TikTok”, Florida teacher Ravi Ramirez discussed the bill and its impact on kids with none other than Brian Stelter of CNN. The interview, as can be seen below, was uploaded to CNN+ app that is now being done away with due to dismal performance numbers.
The teacher added, “I think it’s too much and I think it’s a personal attack on public education in general. They want to privatize education. They don’t want to make education accessible to all people. So it’s important to ensure that, you know, we don’t want to get reactionary behavior, which is very human and normal, but provide the facts, but never forget the real impacts.”
Although there is no data to backup her claims, Ramirez insisted, “You know, kids are dying because of this and that’s my biggest concern. I want to save kids lives. If I acknowledge one child and letting them know that they are safe with me, and that they are loved by me, that can make such a huge difference, it can change and save their lives, so let’s not let them forget that.”
