HUGE: Sen. Mullin Says Taliban Still Controls Families of Afghans Brought Into America

During the Biden regime, thousands of migrants from Afghanistan were let in to our nation under ‘Operation Allies Welcome’ following the disastrous military withdrawal from the country.

The gunman who shot two National Guard members, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, was one such Afghan national.

There are so many issues with the Biden-era program that opened our borders to Afghan citizens, including lack of proper vetting.

Frankly, it was reckless and dangerous.

But, Republican Sen. Markwayne Mullin just raised another giant problem that goes beyond the technical details…

He says that the Taliban is still using the families as leverage against many of these Afghans.

What Sen. Mullin is basically saying is that even if Biden’s asylum program for Afghan nationals was carefully planned and had all the proper vetting, it still would have put the lives of Americans at risk.

Of course, we don’t know if the Taliban was controlling the family of Rahmanullah Lakanwal or if they played a factor at all in the horrific attack on the National Guard in D.C. this past Wednesday.

But still, it raises some serious concerns.

Thankfully, President Trump is now taking action to re-examine all of these Afghan migrants and stop more from flooding in.

The Independent has more details on that:

The U.S. has suspended all immigration requests from Afghans after two National Guardsmen were shot in Washington, D.C., in an attack described by Donald Trump as an “act of terror”.

An Afghan man was identified as the suspect in the shooting near the White House on Wednesday. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said immigration requests have been stopped “indefinitely” with the decision made pending a review of “security and vetting protocols”.

The move follows Trump’s call for his government to re-examine Afghan immigrants who entered the United States when Joe Biden was president.
