In a major step towards protecting children, the House just passed a bill criminalizing all transgender surgeries and treatments for minors.
The bill would make it a felony to perform genital mutilation surgery or give puberty blockers/hormones to anyone under the age of 18.
The final vote was 216-211.
Frankly, it’s insane that the bill was so controversial.BREAKING: The US House has just PASSED legislation to CRIMINALIZE transgender surgeries, hormones, and treatments for minors, 216-211![]()
LET’S GO!
Now, it must pass the Senate before heading to 47’s desk
This should NOT be controversial. PROTECT KIDS! pic.twitter.com/HoXNfEAOWt

211 Congress members voted in favor of genital mutilation and hormone treatment for kids…
Just, disgusting.
Shockingly, even a handful of Republicans voted against the bill.
Here are their names:
- Mike Lawler (NY)
- Brian Fitzpatrick (PA)
- Mike Kennedy (UT)
- Gabe Evans (CO)
They were:
- Henry Cuellar (TX)
- Don Davis (NC)
- Vicente Gonzalez (TX)
She reacted to the bill’s passage in this video on X:
Now, the bill heads to the Senate.Exciting news!! My Protect Children’s Innocence Act just PASSED the House!!!![]()
This is a win for children all over America!!
Thank you to the 3 Democrats that voted to protect kids: Rep. Cueller, Davis (NC), & Gonzalez!
Unfortunately, 4 Republicans decided NOT to vote to… pic.twitter.com/zn5k1k3SOA

If it passes there, then it will go to President Trump’s desk to become law.
Unfortunately, as it stands, it’s unlikely to pass in the Senate without support from Democrats.

Tensions between Greene and Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) had flared up over the bill prior to its passage. Greene had blasted Roy, who sits on the House Rules Committee, for introducing an amendment that she claimed would “gut the commerce clause” of her bill.
Roy’s amendment sought to modify the bill to limit federal criminal liability under certain circumstances “by defining when prohibited conduct falls within federal jurisdiction,” according to the Rules Committee.
But Greene argued on X that her bill “criminalizes ALL pediatric gender affirming care (transgender surgeries, puberty blockers, and hormones) NOT just those receiving federal funds and protects ALL children allowing them to grow up before they make permanent changes to their body that they can never undo!!!”
“WTF is Chip Roy doing????? And this guy wants to be attorney general of Texas but refuses to protect children??!!!” she added.
Roy had responded that “the constitution matters & we should not bastardize it to use ‘interstate commerce’ to empower federal authorities.”
However, he ended up saying in a statement Wednesday that he will not offer the amendment “to avoid any confusion about how united Republicans are in protecting children from these grotesque procedures.”
