Some Hollywood liberals reacted to Thursday's mass shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand, by blaming President Donald Trump.
A shooter killed dozens of people in a New Zealand mosque and left behind a manifesto that endorsed a variety of causes on both sides of the political aisle.
While many questions remain to be answered about this horrific act of violence, the only thing that's clear is that the shooter was mentally disturbed.

That doesn't matter to Trump's Hollywood critics, though. They have their eyes on the president no matter what happens in the world.
Trump himself took to Twitter to say about the shooting, “My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!”
“F*** that pathological liar/criminal,” declared “Say Anything” star John Cusack (pictured above left) in response to the president's words. My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The actor also tweeted, “The only way democracy survives him [Trump] — is if he rots in prison. Let's get on with it.”
“Westworld” star Jeffrey Wright also responded to Trump's tweet about the shooting.
“Bin Laden sends warmest sympathy & best wishes to all New Yorkers,” said Wright.
Other celebs focused on “white supremacy” — and some tried to draw a line between racism and Trump.
“What happened in New Zealand is horrifying. The rise of white supremacy & white nationalism is frightening. World leaders play a role in stoking this hatred. If you are not condemning white supremacy you are condoning it. If POTUS doesn't condemn, he condones,” tweeted “Misery” director Rob Reiner.
“Avengers” star Mark Ruffalo added, “White supremacy is a global enemy and it must be stopped. It is a racist, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, and completely deranged ideological view of the world. These people are terrorists and must be treated as such.”What happened in New Zealand is horrifying. The rise of white supremacy & white nationalism is frightening. Horrified by the news of the mass shootings in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. Hate knows no boundaries, especially when so heavily armed. Thinking of the shattered lives and communities, where hundreds had gathered for Friday prayers.
