"Dear powerful, influential people of the United Kingdom who “love” the children: where is your compassion for the children now?
A royal baby was born to Kate Middleton today. A son. The United Kingdom celebrated this new life, as ALL new lives should be celebrated.
But not far off in the tiny and once great nation, a different child is being slowly murdered by the same state celebrating the birth of another.
Alfie Evans is but a commoner. Born to common parents. His birth celebrated by those members of his family, not his nation.
Italy has sent aid in efforts to take this child off your country’s statist hands, relieving the NHS of Alfie’s financial burden. Wouldn’t want a little one like Alfie taking any more of his “fair share” of the NHS’s limited resources.
But the UK government is forcing Alfie to die in the UK. Forcing his parents to watch. Not allowing his parents to take him for alternative care in another country at no cost to the UK at all.
One might say there are “no words to describe” what the UK is doing to Alfie Evans. But I have plenty: the treatment is monstrous, murderous, evil, barbaric. Backward. Detestable. Medieval. Hitler-approved. Not becoming of a nation which thinks so highly of itself as it looks down its nose at the rest of the world.
Not worse, but disturbingly, there is nothing but silence from the leftist elite of both the United Kingdom and the United States on Alfie Evan’s treatment. J.K. Rowling is quick to lecture about the children of refugees needing a better life. Quick to offer aid to orphans near and far. But has, to my knowledge, said nothing publicly about the plight of Alfie Evans. Where is Jimmy Kimmel with his tears for this small boy who’s socialized medical system, which is what some like Kimmel loves? Where’s Bernie Sanders? Hillary Clinton? Nancy Pelosi?
Your silence regards Alfie is a mark of complicity.
Since many of you of the elitist left are quick to judge, quick to “speak out” for the children for politically correct causes, but there’s nothing but silence for Alfie, what other conclusion am I to draw?
If Alfie was Kate Middleton’s son, would not the Queen of England do whatever she could to save Alfie’s life? Or would she swallow the hard pill NHS forced down her throat? Could not the Queen of England wave her hand and allow the Italians to take Alfie to Italy for care? Or would she, like so many of Britain’s most loyal, brainwashed subjects, agree that the courts of the United Kingdom “know best” for her grandson?
Somehow, I think not.
