During a recent airing of The View, Whoopi Goldberg claimed the Iran War is a distraction by the Trump administration to get the public to not focus on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

Fox News reported more on Goldberg’s comments:

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg claimed Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s actions in Iran were a method of distraction to keep public attention off the Jeffrey Epstein files and the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

The co-hosts discussed the latest in the war with Iran, particularly the surge in oil prices and gas prices.

“It’s nutty as hell,” Goldberg said. “And you’re right, every day it’s something new. And it’s, you know, I was thinking about it yesterday, because I thought, ‘Well, OK, why haven’t we been talking about Savannah Guthrie and what’s going on there? Why haven’t we — why have we not been talking about the Epstein files?’ Because that’s still there.

“This is meant to get us so worked up that we are unable to see anything else.”

The co-hosts seemed to agree, with Sunny Hostin adding, “It’s a very ‘wag the dog’ feeling.”

Fox 10 provided the latest update on the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie:

Thursday marks Day 40 in the search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, who went missing from her Tucson-area home on Feb. 1. Authorities believe Nancy was taken from her home against her will.

On Monday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said cadaver dogs were no longer being used in the search for Nancy Guthrie.

“They are available if needed in the future,” Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News Digital.

Over the weekend, PCSD told Fox News Digital that they were aware of a damaged utility box near her home.

Last week, law enforcement reportedly went door-to-door in Nancy’s neighborhood. Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show set for the first time since her mother disappeared. In a statement to Fox News Digital, a “Today” show spokesperson said Savannah plans on eventually returning to the show.

“Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues,” a “Today” show spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that DNA found on a glove just over two miles from Nancy’s home was traced back to a restaurant employee. The employee reportedly works near Nancy’s home but is unrelated to the case. Other gloves that have been found are still being tested at a private lab in Florida.
