There were ample legitimate reasons for Kamala Harris’ disastrous performance in November’s presidential election.
Her message was a mixture of incoherence and extremism. She campaigned on the same Biden agenda that led to rampant inflation, skyrocketing crime, and unchecked illegal immigration. And Biden himself didn’t help matters by staying in the race long past the point that most voters felt he was capable of serving another term.
But when the former president had a chance to perform a postmortem on the 2024 election, all he could come up with was the conclusion that Americans just hate women.
He offered this tired leftist excuse during a recent appearance on ABC’s “The View,” as the New York Post reported:
Biden’s performance on “The View” and a recent BBC interview have sparked a wave of relief that he is no longer in the White House:Biden didn’t acknowledge any of the negative public polling when answering questions Thursday about his former running-mate, opting instead to claim the Trump campaign made “sexist” attacks on Harris.
“I wasn’t surprised because they went the route of a, the sexist route, whole route, this is a woman, she’s this, she’s that,” he also said.
“I’ve never seen quite, uh, as successful and consistent campaign undercutting the notion that a woman couldn’t lead the country — and a woman of mixed race,” he added.
“They played that … fairly well,” Biden trailed off, before joking that one of the hosts had begged him not to talk at length as he’s been prone to do.
Truly amazing stuff here: Joe Biden is asked about the books that have been written about his cognitive decline. He spends one minute struggling to answer the question while going on tangents about random things before handing it off to his wife who says he was perfectly fine lol pic.twitter.com/vUjG2dwe0X

As Yahoo reported:
Here’s a longer clip of the segment:Harris faced backlash during her campaign for saying she wouldn’t change “a thing” about what Biden accomplished during his presidency. “There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of — and I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact,” she said on The View in October 2024.
Sunny Hostin asked the former president if it was true that he had reportedly encouraged Harris not to differentiate her agenda from his on the campaign trail, which he denied.
“I did not advise her to say that number one, like I said I was vice president, I understand the role,” he said. “I think she was talking about she wouldn’t have changed the successes we had, not opposed to changing anything at all. She has to be her own person, and she was.”
He continued, “So I think that was used in a way that is contrary to what she meant by it when she said that.”
