I wasn’t able to watch all of the Kavanaugh hearing, but I am prepared to give the Power Line award for best opening statement performance to Sen. Ben Sasse, who gave a great statement of the problem of the administrative state, which comprises the breakdown of the separation of powers and the dereliction of the responsibility of Congress to discharge its Article I powers properly. Democrats won’t want to take this on directly, though I do expect at some point a Democrat to cross-examine Kavanaugh on the “Chevron Doctrine,” which never came up before in a Supreme Count confirmation until Neil Gorsuch’s hearings last year.
In any case, it is worth 15 minutes of your life to hear Sen. Sasse (Ph.D, Yale) conduct class in the Senate hearing room:

JP, thank YOU for posting this video!! Ben Sasse literally "schools" the nasty, vindictive democrats at the hearing yesterday. Keep a watchful eye on this young man because he will be our next US president in 2024. Sasse is the man!!

JP, the best example of why we need some type of age limit would be Ruth Bader Ginsburg @ 85 years old. She can barely stand up straight and appears to walk around in a coma. I have provided a link to show the rest of the Muppets up in the balcony. LOL

JP, yesterday's hearing was extremely tense and nasty. The democrats have now placed themselves in a torture chamber with the mid terms around the corner. All Americans, regardless of party, who watched the hearing yesterday were left with a very bad taste in their mouth and should think twice, actually long and hard, before voting for the democrats. Corey Book, Kamala Harris, Blumenthal, and Senator Hirono from Hawaii were particularly caustic and unprofessional. None of them should be re-elected again. I thought I knew who was in "the swamp" but I was nowhere close to identifying them until yesterday.
